Better Sailing
Come along on Saturday afternoons, pick up some tips to make you faster/more confident/whatever the next step on your sailing pathway is.
Get here for 1pm so you have time to find your boat and set up, the aim is to be on the water for 1:30. It can take a long time to set up the hire boat the first time you do it, plus the hill is steep and slow.
You are also welcome to come along and practice your powerboat skills if you have PB2. You can either come along towards the end of the session and just offer to join in with the pack up, in order to better learn the club powerboat routines, or practice your boat handling during the session. (Please note - the instructor is unlikely to be able to give you any powerboat pointers during the sailing session but will help show you the routines when the sailing is over - just tell them what you want to learn - they might not have read the bookings ......)
The ultimate aim is to create a club full of members confident on the water, a team of helms comfortable with the powerboats and loads of enthusiastic club racers.
Boat hire is available. If you have hired a club boat for Saturday then you may book a free ticket to this event. Book your hire boat first.
Stick around at the end and join in with powerboat mooring, general tidying and locking up. Learn how the club works and be a part of the community.
Note: RYA Level 2 is required to hire club boats and PB2 is required to drive the powerboats.
