ILCA Women's Coaching Day

Join us at King George Sailing Club for a day of coaching in an all-female learning environment.

The day will be led by Olympic coach Georgina Povall. Participants comment on her unique talent for making the complex simple, focusing on the precision and consistency that deliver results in all conditions.

Ellie Meopham will be coaching alongside George. She is a two-time RYA Youth National Champion and former World #4. She is renowned for her technical mastery of the ILCA, with smooth boat handling and fluid movement delivering speed in all conditions.

Who is this for? Everyone! Whether you are new to ILCA, new to racing or a regular club racer, George and Ellie will help you sail consistently faster and believe in your abilities

Boats are available to hire with either ILCA 6 or ILCA 4 rigs.

The day will start at 9:30, break for a short lunch and finish around 4:30. Bring a packed lunch. Hot and cold drinks will be available, plus a microwave.

A Whats App group will be set up to communicate more info to participants closer to the time. Coaching activities will of course depend on the weather on the day.

Boat hire is £25.
